"QA International at the forefront with the Health
& Safety Certification Register"
TRANSITION FROM OHSAS 18001 : 1999 TO 2007 VERSION
QA International has formulated an OHSAS 18001 transition plan to allow customers to gradually migrate from the 1999 version of OHSAS 18001.
From January 2008 all audit plans prepared for existing and new customers, shall include OHSAS 18001 : 2007 as the audit criteria. As QA International issues annual registration certificates, such certificates will cease to be valid after the end of 1st July 2009.
QA International will continue to work with customers on transition from the old to the new standard and any specific queries may be addressed to the QAICL local representative office (International Offices).
Directors and Managers determined to improve company safety will find the
implementation of Health & Safety management systems a positive contribution
to their efforts in corporate development. If senior management can demonstrate
a commitment to improving health & safety standards then this will be
carried through at all levels in the organisation, ensuring success in this
key strategic area.
Just as with ISO9000 systems there is a case for third party assessment and
validation of a company's planned arrangements for Health & Safety. In
todays environment it is not enough to just announce that a system is in
place. Certification by an accredited certification body, denotes that the
relevant systems have been rigorously enforced and maintained.
Full details on this and all other services offered by QA International are
obtainable from both UK and overseas offices and further information can
also be requested by Email.
